(PNA) — The northeast monsoon or hangin amihan that continues to be the dominant weather system will bring light rains over Northern Luzon while most parts of the country will continue to experience fair weather in the next three days.

Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) weather forecaster Alvin Pura said the regions of Cagayan Valley and Cordillera will experience cloudy skies with light rains.

The agency also issued gale warning as strong to gale force wind affecting the seaboards of Northern Luzon.

“Fisherfolks and those using small seacraft are advised not to venture out over the said seaboards,” it warned.

Pura said the low pressure area (LPA) (former TS Amang) dissipated Tuesday afternoon.

He noted that within the next three days or until Friday they do not see any weather disturbance affecting the country.

For Wednesday forecast, PAGASA said the rest of Luzon including Metro Manila will have partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated light rains.

It added Visayas and Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rains. Thunderstorms are likely to occur over these areas.

PAGASA also said moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast to north with slight to moderate seas. (PNA) FPV/CLTC
