More Than 700 Druggies in Tiny Siquijor Surrendered in July

Dumaguete City – A total of 705 drug users and pushers in the tiny island-province of Siquijor surrendered last month, a police report has said.

Under ‘Oplan Tokhang’, police last July visited 580 houses in the island’s six municipalities — 120 at the Siquijor Police Station; 118 at the Larena station; 26 at the Enrique Villanueva station; 78 at the Maria station; 67 at the Lazi station; and 171 at the San Juan station.

Some 101 gave themselves up at the Siquijor station; 248 at the Larena station; 34 at the Enrique Villanueva station; 136 at the Maria station; 73 at the Lazi station; and 113 at the San Juan station.(PNA) RMA/CVL/JSP
