More Jobs Seen with Bataan-China Partnership
More job opportunities are expected to thrive in Mariveles as top freeport and local officials recently established a partnership deal with China’s renowned giant corporations.
Bataan Governor Albert Garcia and Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) Chairperson Emmanuel Pineda signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sinohydro Co. and PowerChina Chengdu Engineering Co., initiating projects on hydropower and infrastructure.
An engineering project contractor, PowerChina Chengdu Engineering was represented by its President Huang He, while Deputy General Manager Xiang Chaoqun was present for Sinohydro, which develops hydropower, wind power and water resources.
Both Chinese corporations seek to establish strong and prospective business relations and cooperate in projects related to the Manila Bay Sea Cross Bridge, container ports, industrial estates, renewable energy, tourism and commercial developments, highways and railways, and utilities.
Through the MOU, all parties will support each other in financing, engineering, procurement and actual construction of projects that are vital to the economic development within the freeport and in Regions 3, 4 and the National Capital Region.
Garcia said he looks forward for more projects in Bataan with Sinohydro and PowerChina that will provide legitimate jobs and spur economic growth in the province.
PowerChina is an international, comprehensive construction conglomerate that has more than 3,000 engineering projects in 94 countries worldwide. It is also engaged in power engineering construction across the globe.
