The second batch of the Sinovac vaccine has arrived at the Mactan Cebu International Airport (MCIA) on Friday morning, March 5, 2021.

According to the Department of Health Region VII (DOH 7), there are 17,480 more doses of Sinovac COVID-19 that are ready to be distributed in Central Visayas — Cebu, Bohol, Siquijor, and Negros Oriental.

Immediately after arrival at the MCIA, the vaccines are transferred to the DOH 7 office cold storage for sorting before distributed to Bohol and Negros Oriental.

DOH 7 Cheif Pathologist and Covid-19 Spokesperson Dr. Mary Jean Loreche said that the vaccines will prioritize health workers in the region that are listed before the distribution.
