More Businesses in Region 7 Reopen Under Alert Level 2
More businesses in Region 7 are expected to reopen after Region 7 is placed under Alert Level 2 as Central Visayas was placed under Alert Level 2 by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) last February 14 and will continue until February 26.
DOH Chief Pathologist confirmed that the new Alert Level system is being implemented in the region, this includes Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, and Mandaue City as well as the provinces of Cebu, Bohol, Negros Oriental, and Siquijor, is now on a lowered alert level in the watch against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
The region is placed under this more relaxed alert level due to the decreasing positivity rate in the region following the scare when Central Visayas hit high positivity rates during the omicron surge in the past months.
Establishments under this Alert Level are now allowed to cater 50% capacity for indoor venues for customers who are fully vaccinated and 70% for outdoor venues.
Moreover, all on-site workers should be fully vaccinated and minimum public health standards should be strictly maintained. (ASC)
