Monsoon Trough to Bring Rains over Luzon — PAGASA
Manila (PNA) — Expect rains in most parts of the country, including Metro Manila, on Tuesday due to monsoon trough across Southern Luzon, according to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
In an interview, PAGASA weather forecaster Aldczar Aurelio said the monsoon trough or extended cloudiness from the southwest monsoon will bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rains over Metro Manila, Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon), Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan), Bicol region and Visayas.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
In its advisory, PAGASA said moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the southwest will prevail over the western section of Luzon and Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to occasionally rough.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from southwest with slight to moderate seas.
He added that there is no gale warning as sea travel will be safe for fisherfolk and small seacraft. (PNA) JBP/CLTC
