Mobile Vax Operations In Cebu Rural Areas

The medical groups conducted mobile vaccinations in the areas outside of Metro Cebu to provide COVID-18 vaccines even for people in rural areas.

Philippine College of Physicians, Cebu Medical Society, and All-Terrain Medical Relief Organization (AMRO) have deployed volunteers doctors, nurses, dentists, and people who have medical backgrounds.

Mobile vaccinations are a big help in the goal of Cebu to reach 70% herd immunity by this year.

Department of Health-Central Visayas (DOH-7) chief pathologist Dr. Mary Jean Loreche praised the volunteers for their contribution to the fight against COVID-19.

DOH 7 also urged the different localities in Cebu, especially, in the province to hasten their master listing of eligible individuals to receive the COVID-19 as mobile vaccinations are ongoing.

The department plans to innoculate 70% of the 1.4 million residents living outside of Metro Cebu.

As of September 7, there are already 17 LGUs that have already mater listed a combined total of 187,174 eligible vaccinees. (ASC)
