Mobile App That Allows Hassle-free Taxi Ride Now in Cebu City
There will be days when things just don’t go your way. Have you experience to wait almost an hour for a jeepney to ride-on? Or encountered someone who all of a sudden grab your taxi and ride on it immediately, while you are the one who approached it first?
These usually happen during peak hours or let us say, when you’re out in a rush. Isn’t it difficult to find your cab?
A company from Malaysia believes there is a solution to ease this problem, and has transported it in big cities in Southeast Asia.
MobileApp
GrabTaxi, a taxi-booking mobile app, provides Cebuanos a safe, secured and fast way of getting to their destination. In other words, it is now available in Cebu!
“Being one of the top tourist spots in the Philippines, combined with a high smartphone and data penetration rate, Cebu is more than ready for GrabTaxi… We want to provide Cebuanos and tourists a convenient and safe way of getting to their destinations,” said Anthony Tan, Founder of GrabTaxi.
GrabTaxi aims to revamp the local taxi industry by introducing simple, cost-effective mobile-based technology that provides the supply and demand sides of over 250,000 app users, including passengers and dispatch companies.
Through this app, the matching process between taxi fleets and passengers is optimized.
GrabTaxi is a free, user-friendly app that can be downloaded from App Store (iOS), Google Play (Android), Windows Phone Store, and Blackberry World.
How to use GrabTaxi
As soon as you have downloaded the GrabTaxi app from your smartphone, open it, then ensure that your GPS is turned on.
The app will detect your current location and the number of taxis nearby. If you are using GrabTaxi for the first time, you will need to perform a one-time activation process. You should tap the “TO” field and search for your desired drop-off location. The app will then display the estimated fare and distance of your destination.
You should able to provide additional information and preferences like adding a note for the taxi driver to help locate the place where you can be picked up.
After a minute, you will know if a taxi has been assigned to you. The app will display your driver’s name, picture and taxi’s plate number, and will then track your driver’s progress. You can call your driver at anytime to give additional details.
You can even ensure your safety by sharing your ride through sending SMS, email or a link to your family member and friends so they can track your taxi ride in real-time.
Booking fee
