Miss Universe Philippines is PETA’s 2014 Sexiest Vegetarian Celeb

Businesswoman and reigning Miss Universe Philippines Mary Jean Lastimosa recently won another title.

She is this year’s People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) Philippines’ Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity.

The 26-year-old businesswoman bested her rivals including musician Geneva Cruz, models Sandra Seifert and Amanda Griffin Jacob, actress Chin-Chin Gutierrez and Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan.

Lastimosa, the 2008 Mutya ng Dabao, is a fitness advocate and owns a fitness and spa center in Davao City.

This North Cotabato beauty graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering at the University of Mindanao.

PETA Asia vice president Jason Baker said “there’s no easier way to put passion in life than by putting compassion in your diet.”

“MJ knows that going vegetarian is the best thing that you can do for animals, the earth and your health,” Baker added.

The Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity contest coincided with World Vegan Month, which is celebrated every November. It ended last Nov. 25.
