Miss Tourism International 2013 to Help Yolanda Victims
Miss Tourism International 2013 Angeli Dione Gomez has vowed to help the victims of super typhoon Yolanda by supporting fund-raising activities.
“I’ll be teeming up with a Malaysian radio personality…I’m gonna help him raise more money for the victims of Yolanda,” said Gomez.
Gomez is in Cebu to participate in the Sinulog Grand Parade on Sunday.
The beauty queen, who won the Miss Tourism International crown last month, said this Malaysian guy has been doing relief operations in Tacloban City, she would ask him to also include Cebu in his list.
Gomez, who was born and raised in barangay Talamban, Cebu City, said she knew it would not be hard to produce funds for the victims as many people would help them.
“All the victims should know that the whole world has your back. When I went to the international pageant recently all the girls knew about it and all of them were doing their part to help in the relief operations,” she said. She said the Filipinos should “stay hopeful” as what happened was “not a tragedy, but a time for us to rebuild” what was lost.
