Minglanilla’s First Trade Expo Held
The Tourism and Heritage Council of Minglanilla holds the first Minglanilla Trade Expo with new vigor and optimism as it continues to inspire with a strong statement on what is popular, artistic, durable, reliable and quality products.
With the theme Garbo sa Minglanilla, the event was launched last August 15 and ended on August 21 at Minglanilla’s town plaza.
The trade expo is more than just to showcase finest products and premier quality services but also to promote the business establishments of the municipality.
“Ang kani nga trade fair dako ang oportunidad nga molambo atong turismo. Nanghinaut ko nga ang Minglanilla mailhan sa katawhan (This trade fair is a great opportunity to boost our tourism. I hope the municipality will be known more to the public),” said by Mayor Elanito Peña.
He noted that the municipality’s direction is toward economic progress in the coming years.
“Molambo pa gyud pag-ayo ang Minglanilla kung diin itukod ang 100-hectare nga reclamation project aron himuon nga industrial park. Dako kini nga oportunidad alang sa pag bukas ug trabaho sa katawhan (Progress awaits Minglanilla where a 100-hectare reclamation project will be built to pave the way for an industrial park. It’s a big opportunity to open jobs to our constituents),” he explained.
There are eleven companies who participated in the trade expo. They include BON-ACE Fashion Tools Inc., 7eleven Convenience Store, Calderon Food Products, Cocina Calza Catering Services, Cebu South Travel and Tours, CSE Capiz Seashell Enterprises, Villa Rammelyn Garden and Resort, Pepsi Cola Bottlers Inc., Paramount Property Ventures, Jollibee Minglanilla, and Ramcheschel Bakeshop.
Considered as history in the making, the event was initiated by the newly created Tourism and Heritage Council of Minglanilla. It is also the municipality’s premier trade platform for exports and design, providing opportunities for small and medium scale entrepreneurs to showcase their product in the market.
Minglanilla is known as the “Sugat Capital” of the south, which reflects the celebration of the Sugat-Kabanhawan Festival. It is a first class municipality in the province of Cebu.
