The Mines and Geosciences Bureau Region 7 (MGB-7) implements a 2-day work week among its employees from March 23, 2020 to April 14, 2020 or until further notice to keep its employees safe from the on going threat of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Employees will be sent to work from home on the remaining 3 days for the week.

However, a skeletal team will still be in their office to ensure its continous delivery of public service to different stakeholders.

Loreto Alburo, MGB-7 Regional Director said that this implementation is their way of supporting the local and national government in the battle against the said disease.

MGB-7 discouraged their stakeholders and everyone from visiting the office unless its extremely necessary.

MGB-7 also implemented other safety measures like temperature checks upon entrance. Hand sanitizers are also provided for employees and clients to use.

MGB-7 urged the public to practice all safety measured issued by the Department of Health (DOH) to prevent the further spread of COVID-19. (MLC)
