Medical and Dental Missions Conducted All Over Cavite
The provincial government through the Provincial Health Office and the OPG-Extension Office Medical Mission Team led by Ms. Maribel Bernal conducted a series of medical and dental missions giving out free services to needy residents of different barangays in several cities and municipalities in Cavite.
Medical missions held in two separate barangays of Cavite city provided free medical check-ups, tooth extraction and prophylaxis to a total of 838 patients in Brgy. 28 Covered Court, Sea Breeze Subdivision last November 3 and 744 patients on November 10 at the Samonte Park Covered Court.
The program provided free pediatric and adult consultations, dental extraction, medicines and vitamins given particularly to residents of Barangays 62M, 62A & 62B.
Event volunteers include PHO doctors, dentists, and technical staff, Dra. Olivia Salamanca Memorial Hospital doctors, Naval Installation Command of the Philippine Navy, 15th Strike Wing of the Philippine Air Force, staff from the Office of the Provincial Governor and the Provincial Information and Community Affairs Department.
Last November 4, 221 pediatric patients and 276 adult patients benefitted from the medical & dental mission held at the Covered Court of Barangay Langkaan 2, City of Dasmariñas.
On November 5, a medical mission benefitted 456 church members of the Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints in the municipality of Rosario.
Meanwhile, constituents of Barangay Biga 1 in Silang had a total of 500 adult & pediatric patients who availed of health consultations and dental extractions and also took home free medicines and vitamins in a same activity held last November 8.
Other volunteers who made the other activities possible were doctors, dentists, nurses and technical staff from the Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo Memorial Hospital, Dra. Olivia Salamanca Memorial Hospital, Office of the Provincial Governor, Cavite Office of Public Safety and Provincial Information and Community Affairs Department in joint coordination with their respective local and barangay officials and other non-government associations like the Sta.
