MCIA Cited as One of The Best Airports

Airport review website sleepinginairports.net cited Mactan Cebu International Airport (MCIA) as one of the best airports in Asia.

Last year, MCIA was named Medium Airport of the Year in Asia Pacific by the CAPA Center for Aviation amongst airports with over 10 million annual passengers. Moreover, CAPA hailed MCIA as the Regional Airport of the Year in 2016, recognizing it as a leader in advancing the local aviation industry.

GMR MEGAWIDE in partnership with MCIA, International Airport Authority, government agencies and airport community stakeholders will continue to improve and provide a positive experience to the passengers at MCIA.

“These recognition show that we are on the right track in our improvements. With the opening of the renovated wing of Terminal 1 and the new Airport Village, we will create a whole new level of comfort, convenience, and friendliness at the Philippines’ first Resort-Airport,” said Andrew Acquaah-Harrison, Chief Executive Advisor, GMR MEGAWIDE Cebu Airport Corporation.
