Masks Sold Out in the Philippines Amid Coronavirus Fear
The outbreak of deadly coronavirus created a shortage of face masks in the Philippines, as locals create long queues outside pharmacies to buy masks as a protection against the spread of the virus.
One patient, who was under investigation, died on Saturday, said the Department of Health Secretary Francisco Duque III.
The man has become the first person to die of the Wuhan coronavirus outside of China.
The Department of Health (DOH) reported that there were a total of 80 patients under investigation for the 2019-nCoV Acute Respiratory Disease (ARD).
Of the 80 patients, 67 are currently admitted and isolated, while 10 have been discharged under strict monitoring.
The coronavirus (2019-nCoV) has so far claimed 362 lives since its outbreak last December. Over 17,200 others have been infected by the epidemic. (AA)
