Mandaue City Gives PhilHealth Coverage for Seniors
The Mandaue City government has provided PhilHealth medical insurance coverage to its senior citizens.
Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes said senior citizens in the city are now life time members of PhilHealth.
He said the city will pay for the premium for the medical insurance coverage.
Cortes said the city has started distributing the Member’s Data Sheet (MDR) for them to fill out.
“I asked every elderly for the submission of their requirements for the release of MDR,” he said.
Cortes said the PhilHealth coverage is the city government’s way of thanking them for their contribution to the city’s progress.
Cortes also said the city is determined to provide the services of City Health Department to the senior citizens, even bringing them to their doorsteps.
Aside from the PhilHealth coverage, the city also provides cash assistance to the city’s senior citizens. (PNA) CTB/EB/PJN
