Making Footprints of Change in Slippers

Crimson Resort & Spa Mactan is organizing people to walk for a cause in slippers to make a monumental step.

In partnership with Project Happy Feet Organization of Singapore, Crimson is bringing back one of the most celebrated event that aims to raise funds through the Project Happy Feet Slipper Race Cebu 2014- Resorts Edition-on the 7th of June 2014 to address the country’s social issues that needs immediate attention–education and training for children.

This year’s advocacy focuses on the rebuilding of school in Northern Cebu and provision of basic school supplies for children hoping to go back to school in areas that were devastated by typhoon Yolanda.

The race in slippers is a competitive activity that aims to establish camaraderie between the participants, and especially to lend a helping hand to those children whose school buildings were devastated by the recent super typhoon.

This year Crimson Resort & Spa Mactan had chosen Gawad Kalinga-Bayani Challenge to fulfill the goal of rehabilitating the schools in the northern part of Cebu that were damaged by the typhoon.

The race in slippers hopes to send a message to the world that there is a great urgency to take action in the education and training and we are racing against time to come with a positive and permanent solution that would bring them better life and longevity.

Open to everyone (families, group of friends, students) willing to contribute for a great cause and simply have a great time, for a donation/registration fee of only Php 5000 for a group of 5 team member inclusive of race kits (slippers, PHF bag, slippers, race rib, and bottled water). To add a Filipino signature in this event, the race will feature pit stops with classic Filipino games along the 5km route for greater fun and enjoyment!

Donation for the cause is also accepted. Public Sign-up and Donation Drive is happening at the Upper Ground Floor of SM City Cebu beside National Bookstore on May 30 and 31, 2014. Those who want to register may sign-up during these dates.
