Magnitude 6.3 Quake Jolts Indonesia
A magnitude 6.3 earthquake struck Indonesian’s East Java province early Thursday, according to the Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysical Agency (BMKG).
The quake’s epicenter was located 69 kilometers (43 miles) northeast of Bangkalan Regency at a depth of 636 kilometers (395 miles).
The agency did not issue a tsunami alert and there were no immediate reports of damage or casualties. (AA)
