Magnitude 4.2 Quake Jolts Davao Occidental
A magnitude 4.2 earthquake struck the province of Davao Oriental on Wednesday morning, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
In its bulletin, the agency said the tremor occurred at 5:08 a.m. with its epicenter traced at 295 kilometers southeast of Sarangani in Davao Occidental.
The tremor, which was tectonic in origin, had a depth of 36 kilometers.
Philvocs said there was no casualty or damage reported from the earthquake and no aftershocks are expected. (PNA) JBP/CLTC
