Magnitude 4.1 Quake Jolts Surigao del Norte Twice
Manila (PNA) — A magnitude 4.1 quake struck Surigao Del Norte twice on Friday morning, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
In its bulletin, Phivolcs said the tremor occurred at 5:47 a.m. with its epicenter traced at 44 kilometers northwest of General Luna in Surigao Del Norte.
The agency noted that the quake, which was tectonic in origin, had a depth of six kilometers.
Meanwhile, a magnitude 4.1 quake jolt again Surigao Del Norte around 6:08 a.m. with its epicenter traced at 42 kilometers northeast of of General Luna.
The tremor, which was tectonic in origin, had a depth of 10 kilometers.
Phivolcs said there was no casualty or damage reported. No aftershocks were recorded from both tremors. (PNA) LGI/CLTC
