Lumia 535: Microsoft’s First Non-Nokia Windows Phone
Microsoft has officially unveiled Lumia 535, a budget-friendly smartphone with a 5-inch display featuring Corning’s super-durable Gorilla Glass.
The Lumia 535 is equipped with 1905mAh battery, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage expandable by up to 136GB via microSD card, and a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
The smartphone sports two 5MP cameras, one on the front with a wide-angle lens and one on the back. It comes in green, orange, white, gray, blue and black. Microsoft is also offering a dual-SIM variant.
Sofware-wise, it runs the latest Windows Phone 8.1 OS, including the most recent Lumia Denim update and includes Cortana, Microsoft’s answer to Google Now and Apple’s Siri. The device will come pre-loaded with the Microsoft Office suite and OneDrive which offers 15GB of free online storage.
The Microsoft Lumia 535 will be available in China, Hong Kong and Bangladesh this month, with other countries to follow. It will cost under $140.
