LTO Requires 15-hour Driving Lessons

Published

on

The Land Transportation Office will soon require applicants for Student’s Permit (SP) to undergo 15-hour theoretical driving course at any “LTO-accredited” driving schools.

The driving courses include different lessons such as driving, road and traffic rules. Driving schools however, will need to pay P5,000 accreditation fee to be accredited as one of LTO’s partner in issuing the certificate of completion for applicants.

The new license issuance is in the Memorandum Circular No. 2019-2176.

LTO Central Visayas (LTO)-7 Regional Director Vic Caindec revealed that LTO will implement the new system on April this year. The new system will be implemented nationwide and it is not limited in Central Visayas only.
