LTO-7’s Malasakit Center Starts Its Operations
The Malasakit Center inside the Land Transportation Office Central Visayas (LTO)-7 is now operational to cater the special sector during their transaction with the LTO. The official operations started on February 19 2021.
LTO-7’s Malasakit Center is located in N.Bacalso avenue in Cebu City and is intended to cater persons with disabilities (PWDs), senior citizens, nursing women, pregnant women, OFWs and lactating mothers.
Aside from the licensing services which is currently the service that is being offered in the service center, LTO 7’s Drivers Education Center (DEC) and the upcoming New Registration Unit (NRU) are also located in the center.
LTO-7 regional director Victor Caindec shared that two DECs are inside the center, one will cater to all the sectors and the other one will cater to the sector with special needs. The second NRU in the region will also be located in the same center.
However, 20 to 30 persons per day are only allowed as social distancing and other health protocols are still being observed. (MLC)
