LTO-7 To Open More Extension Offices in 2020

After the successful projects of the Land Transportation Office Central Visayas (LTO)-7 this year, they are once again hopeful that more projects will be completed in 2020.

LTO-7 Regional Director Vic Caindec said that there will be numerous extension and licensing offices by next year.

“Mas nindot na gyud ning daghan tag mga opisina kay mas daghan tag ma serbisyohan labi na tong mga nagpuyo sa lagyo nga mga lugar (This is very essential because there are lots of people that can benefit from this especially to those people residing from far place),” Caindec said.

Caindec revealed that there will be eight (8) potential offices that will open next year but only four (4) is guaranteed at the moment because of possible delays on the documents and requirements needed.

The Municipality of La Libertad in Negros Oriental, Municipality of Tubigon in Bohol is two of those four mentioned offices that will open in the first quarter of 2020. The other two will open in Gaisano Jai-Alai and Gaisano Country Mall in Cebu City.

“All told, we should be able to double the capacity of our offices,” Caindec added.

He added that if it all goes smoothly, they might put up another office at of one of the terminals of the Cebu Port Authority (CPA).

Meanwhile, Caindec recalled some of their achievements this 2019.

LTO-7 has opened offices in the Municipality of Garcia Hernandez, Municipality of Tubigon and Tagbilaran City in Bohol, Balamban, Camotes, Bantayan and more. LTO-7 had also been to 50 municipalities and served more than 30,000 people in less than a year through the LTO E-Patrol Bus.

One of the major accomplishments of LTO-7 this year is the launching and opening of the Malasakit Lounge inside the LTO establishment since it is the first in the country. (MLC)
