LTO-7 Teams up With Cebu Truck Drivers for Road Safety
For the sake of road safety, the Land Transportation Office in Central Visayas (LTO-7) partnered up with different truck drivers in Cebu.
Recently, truck drivers have been involved in numerous vehicular accidents not only in region 7 but also the whole country.
“Kami sa LTO will be your partner para ma-address ang inyong mga issues. Usa sa mga issues nga na raise, ang kahasol ug kalisod sa inspection sa inyong mga trucks during registration,” said LTO-7 Regional Director Vic Caindec during his meeting with Visayas Unified Truckers Association Inc. (VUTAI).
Issues tackled also included the inspection of trucks during registration. Caindec however, promised that a monthly on-site registration will also be conducted by their office.
The director also initiated a dialogue between the organization and Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia which will happen on Thursday, January 7, to address concerns on truck bans imposed by the different local government units. (MLC)
