LPA Enters PAR, May Bring Rain to Vis-Min Area-PAGASA
PAGASA said the low-pressure area approaching Mindanao has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility before noon Friday, adding that it may bring rain to Visayas and Mindanao.
The weather agency’s Chris Perez said the LPA was estimated at 860 km east of Hinatuan in Surigao del Sur and may bring rain to parts of Visayas and Mindanao in the next 24 hours.
Perez added this may bring light to moderate rain showers or thunderstorm sa Eastern Visayas, Caraga, at Davao region.
PAGASA advised disaster risk reduction and management councils in the concerned areas to be alert and monitor advisories on the LPA.
PAGASA said that at this time, they are he still not discounting the possibility about the chances of the LPA intensifying into a cyclone.
