Loboc’s Floating Restaurant to Reopen Dec. 8
The famous floating restaurant of Loboc, Bohol is set to fully reopen in December in time for the holidays, according to Philippine Information Agency (PIA).
Bohol tourism officer Elmer Varquez said the Loboc Floating Restaurant will fully open on December 8.
PIA report quoted Varquez as saying December 8 is also the date the new Loboc Bridge “fully opens.”
On October 15 last year magnitude-7.2 quake hit Bohol, destroying the province’s colonial churches and killing more than 200 people.
Report said the restaurant’s relaunch includes new uniforms for the staff and departure times.
The town Mayor Helen Alaba said Loboc would “have to be content with” 190 tourists a day now compared to the more than 3,000 it received daily before the earthquake, PIA reported.
