Light to Moderate Rains Expected in Visayas, Mindanao
(PNA) — The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will likely bring rains to Visayas and Mindanao on Saturday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
“Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms will be experienced over Visayas and Mindanao,” PAGASA said in its 5 a.m. weather bulletin Saturday.
PAGASA noted the regions of Bicol and Mimaropa will also experience light to moderate rains, along with isolated thunderstorms.
PAGASA also said the remaining areas in Luzon, including Metro Manila, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies. It will also experience isolated thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, PAGASA warned light to moderate winds coming from the northeast to north will prevail over Luzon, while the southwest winds will blow over the rest of the country.
PAGASA further forecasts the coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate. (PNA) JBP/JLD/PJN
