LG Reveals VR For G3 Headset
LG has revealed a virtual reality headset for its existing flagship smartphone, dubbed as VR for G3.
The VR for G3 is similar in function to Samsung’s Gear VR. Users must slide their LG G3 in the headset to take advantage of it.
Special holes are cut in the headset to accommodate the G3’s volume keys, which many might recall sit at the back of the device.
The design for this headset came from Google’s VR headset, the one it made from cardboard, called Google Cardboard though LG used plastic for its headset.
It has a neodymium ring magnet on the side that pairs with the G3’s gyroscope which will allow the user to control their phone without having to touch the display.
LG hasn’t revealed the price of VR for G3 and where customers will be able to purchase one. It says that this VR headset will only be launched in “selected markets.”
