LG: G Pro 2 Will Feature 13 Megapixel OIS Camera
LG has confirmed via its website that the G Pro 2 will feature a 13-MP camera packed with optical image stabilization(OIS) capable of 4K video recording.
Late last month, LG confirmed that it will be showing off the LG G Pro 2 at Mobile World Congress.
OIS technology has appeared in smartphones before, such as the LG G2, Nokia 808 PureView and Lumia 1020. It effectively floats the sensor, compensating for the user shaking the camera, allowing for sharper, lighter pictures to be taken.
According to LG, the OIS camera will also be able to record high definition video in slow motion and burst-mode shoot up to 20 photos.
Under the hood, the upcoming phablet is expected to feature a six-inch full HD display, a Qualcomm quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB of RAM, Android KitKat and support for LTE Advanced.
Samsung is also expected to debut its first smartphone featuring a new slimline OIS sensor in the Galaxy S5.
Earlier this week, the company sent out invites to its Mobile World Congress Unpacked event that heavily hint it will unveil its next flagship smartphone at the event in Barcelona later this month.
