Let God be our Guide in our Campaign for a Drug-Free Country
As long as our leaders arrogantly claim that it is their knowledge that will be used in our country’s drug campaign, we will forever be a failure.
Our country has been waging war against illegal drugs for decades yet the problem is getting worse. The officials tasked to lead the war like those in the Department of Health, Department of Interior and Local Government, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Dangerous Drugs Board who brags of their training abroad and never acknowledging that it is only we put GOD as guide in our campaign, we will never be victorious.
This is understandable, these cabinet officials are promoting anti family programs which are clearly against the teachings of the Holy Bible. How could our programs be geared towards the strengthening of the Filipino Family when the DOH promotes premarital sex and unnatural sexual practices through the RH Law?
How could we strengthen the Filipino Family when the DOH does not recognize the sanctity of marriage? If you have time, just visit any drug rehabilitation center, and you will find out that majority of those in rehab centers are children of broken marriages, of single parents and abandoned by parents.
Our anti drug programs must be congruent or aligned with the principles established by the Holy Bible. The drug syndicates and the drug dependents are people who have abandoned their spiritual belief. These people have abandoned GOD, for illegal drugs aim is simply to destroy the Filipino Family. Fathers and Mothers must put GOD in the center of their relationship, our children must be taught GOD be the center of our lives.
People in government, whether in the law enforcement, in the prosecution pillar and the judiciary who condones, sides and accepts bribes from the drug syndicates are people who have entirely abandoned God. We should also remind our President that he should seek the guide of the Divine Almighty on how to lead us in our war against illegal drugs.
This prayer for enlightenment should also be done by our Mayors, Governor and Barangay Captains in order for us to be victorious in our war for a drug free country. These also goes to our church leaders, they must be aggressive and persevering in teaching their flocks of the virtues of the Holy Bible or whatever religion they believe.
Our officials must be God Centered rather than personality oriented. We are so traditionally accustomed to following and aping any motto or slogan and attitude of our leaders. This was and is still the case, from the time of Marcos and now up to PNOY, with Marcos, Bagong Lipunan and now with Noynoy’s Matuwid na Daan.
These are all failures, why? Because it is centered on the belief that they are the cure and panacea of the country’s problem.
