Late Night Fire Razes 250 Homes in Mandaue

A late-night fire has set ablaze 250 homes in Sitio Paradise, Barangay Looc, Mandaue City.

In a Facebook post of Mandaue City Fire station, the fire started around 11:46 PM last Tuesday, November 22, 2022.

The first alarm was called around 11:50 PM and was raised to the third alarm at around 11:55 PM.

At 12:01 AM, the fourth alarm was raised.

The fire was declared under control at around 2:12 AM and was declared fire out at 2:38 AM.

Three persons were said to be injured during the fire while 700 families were displaced.

According to Mandaue City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, the Mandaue City Social Welfare Services are now assisting the fire victims.

As of writing, the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The cost of damages caused by the fire is pegged at P1,000,000. (ASC)
