La Belle Aurore: “A Beautiful Daybreak”

Published

on

Inspired by a French bistro in the 1940’s film Casablanca, La Belle Aurore, which means a beautiful daybreak or a beautiful sunrise, has definitely set standards for bookworms in town.

Established in December 2009 by Joseff Lee, owner and self-confessed book lover, who believes that books should be circulated to attain value, La Belle Aurore offers a wide variety of second-hand books. With over seven thousand volumes of used and overstock books, this bookstore will definitely bring out the bookworm side of you.

According to Joseff, anybody is welcome here – those who love to read and even those who are not much into books but are willing to turn a few pages and appreciate books like never before. With the interiors inspired by Shakespeare and Co., La Belle Aurore takes the time to encourage people, especially the youth to read, not only as a form of recreation but most importantly, to develop the ability to reason out, question and orient our minds to critical thinking.
