Kobe Bryant, Daughter, and 7 Others Died in Chopper Crash
NBA Legend Kobe Bryant and 8 others died in a helicopter crash around 9 a.m. (Pacific Time) January 26, 2020, while flying through foggy hills near Calabasas, California.
Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna were both on board the Sikorsky S-76B helicopter that crashed.
Bryant and others were said to be heading to a Basketball activity at Mamba Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks, California when the pilot encountered thick fog which caused the crash.
According to a report by The New York Times, the helicopter carrying Kobe and 8 others were granted permission to fly through despite foggy conditions.
A bush fire was also ignited after the crash.
The world was shaken for the untimely death of the NBA Legend—support from fans around the world pour into the family.
Kobe Bryant’s last game in the NBA was on April 14, 2016, where he scored 60 points. (ASC)
