Kilometer-long Bay Walk Eyed in SRP

With the roundabout in the South Road Properties (SRP) continuing, Cebu City plans to install a bay walk that offers a great view of the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX).

DPWH-7 maintenance division chief Engr. Faustino Dela Cruz, Jr., said that the pedestrian bay walk will be around one kilometer long and 5 meters wide. The bay walk will be placed across SM Seaside, where the round is also being constructed.

Drop-off points will be placed at the north and south ends of the bay walk. A pedestrian overpass connecting SM Seaside and the bay walk will also be constructed.

The said bay walk will start across the area of SM Seaside City Cebu up to the area near the SRP via duct and CCLEX off-ramp.

The bay walk is said to be another tourist destination as it will offer a great view of the CCLEX.

This pedestrian bay walk is part of the ongoing widening and construction of the roundabout in the access road on F. Vestil (the intersection near SM Seaside).

The said roundabout will help motorists travel faster as they do not need to make a very long U-turn at the SRP’s viaducts. (ASC)
