KAPLAG FESTIVAL 2014
The fish-eye lens captured the faithfuls as they move along the advancing procession in Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral on Friday evening, marking the 449th anniversary of the discovery of the holy image of the Señor Sto. Niño, commonly known as the Kaplag. This religious activity has been celebrated along with Buwad (dried fish) Festival of Brgy. San Nicolas Proper.
This year, the Kaplag-Buwad Festival will be celebrated with religious and cultural activities, which officially started last Wednesday with the first Triduum Mass.
The event highlights the pastoral visits of the Sto. Niño’s image from Fatima Chapel to San Vicente Chapel and stops at Brgy Pasil Fish port, whose vendors association were among those that will offer free tasting of their buwad and chorizo.
