K-12 Program Should Continue: Tolentino
Senator elect Francis Tolentino visited the Talisay City Hall on Monday, June 3, and joined the morning flag raising.
During his visit, he was given a chance to speak before the employees of the Talisay City Hall and one of the topics is about the K-12 program.
Congressman elect Eddie Gullas, Talisay City Mayor elect Gerald Anthony “Samsam” Gullas and Vice Mayor Alan Bucao were also present in the said activity.
Tolentino said that the program brings vast development to the education system in the country and it should continue.
Tolentino was among the senators who won the recent 2019 midterm elections.
Tolentino ranked 9th garnering 15,510,026 votes nationwide.
Meanwhile, Dr. Arden Monisit, the Schools Division Superintendent in Talisay City pointed out that the moment K-12 program was implemented, they showed nothing but full support since they observed that it brought good results in giving the students quality and efficient education.
Monisit added that even before he was assigned in Talisay City, senior high school graduates didn’t have a hard time looking for a decent job.
Despite the good feedback about the K-12 program, there are still some individuals, specifically parents who expressed their grievances due to excess fees and other expenses. (MLC)
