Just In: TS Hagupit May Enter PAR Thursday-PAGASA
PAGASA on Tuesday reported that tropical storm Hagupit has picked up speed and may cross the western Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) boundary by Thursday—a day earlier than PAGASA’s initial forecast.
Although still too far away to directly affect the country, Hagupit is forecast to move west-northwest at 35 kph and may make landfall in Bicol or the central Visayas region by early next week, report said.
GMA’s IMReady reported that as of 11 am today, Hagupit was 2,405 kilometers east of Mindanao and packing maximum winds of 75 kph and gustiness of up to 90 kph.
