Just In: New Potential Cyclone May Enter PAR Friday
PAGASA is now tracking a new potential cyclone approaching the Philippines from the east.
At 8:49 am today, a report on state-run Panahon.TV said that as of Monday morning, the low pressure area (LPA) was estimated some 2,000 km from the eastern boundary of the PAR and may cross the boundary by Friday.
Panahon, through GMA News Online report, said there is a chance that the LPA may intensify into a cyclone even before it enters the PAR, sometime within the next 24 to 48 hours.
Once it develops into a cyclone and continues to enter into the PAR, it will be given the local codename “Ruby”, report said.
