‘Jurassic World’ Hits Third Biggest Box Office
Dino-themed blockbuster “Jurassic World” has made its way to the top box office rankings, being the third biggest global hit of all time.
Report said Thursday the fourth film in the popular “Jurassic Park” series gained $1.522 billion worldwide, setting aside “The Avengers” ($1.520 billion) and took the third spot in the global box office.
Analyst said the movie is now second only to 2009’s “Avatar” ($2.79 billion) and 1997’s “Titanic” ($2.19 billion).
“Jurassic World” has earned $614.3 million in the United States, becoming only the fourth film to ever pass $600 million.
It is directed by Colin Trevorrow and executive producer Steven Spielberg.
