SYNOPSIS: As of 3:00 am today,two Low Pressure Areas (LPAs) embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone(ITCZ) were estimated based on all available data at 335km West Southwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan (9.0N, 115.8E)and at 900km East Southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur(5.7N, 134.0E) respectively.
FORECAST:
Palawan will have cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms due to LPA. Eastern and Western Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to ITCZ. The rest of Visayas and Occidental Mindoro will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.
Moderate to occasionally strong winds from Southwest to Southeast will prevail over Palawan & Western Visayas and the coastal waters will be moderate to occasionally rough. Light to moderate winds from the East to Northeast will prevail over the rest of Visayas and Occidental Mindoro and the coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
