Trial Court Judges from the Cebu City Regional Trial Court (RTC) visited Cebu City Hall Tuesday for a courtesy call with Mayor Michael Rama.
RTC Judges Generosa Labra, James Himalawan, Enriqueta Belarmino, Sylva Paderanga, Silvestre Maamo Jr., Eric Menchavez, Wilfredo Navarro, Samuel Malazarte, Gilbert Moises, and Bienvenido Saniel visited Mayor Rama for the first time after the May 13 election to congratulate him personally and discussed plans in improving the city.
Mayor Rama who is leading the city for his second term warmly welcomed the RTC Judges and thanked them for visiting his office. The People’s Mayor reiterated that his thrust for the next three years will be a people-privately driven governance, and vowed to continue and strengthen public-private partnership (PPP) initiatives.
Under the leadership of the People’s Mayor, several projects were created through the PPP. This includes the new Plaza Independencia, Plaza Sugbo, Plaza Hamabar, Senior Citizen’s Park, Beautification of the sidewalks in Osmena Boulevard through the Beautify Cebu Movement Foundation Incorporated, the enhancement of the City Public Library and Rizal Museum, and the creation of the new Police and Fire Stations, among others.
“With my 21 years in public service nobody can accuse me of graft and corruption, my wealth will always be eternal that the people will always remember that Mike Rama is a millionaire of goodwill and billionaire of hard work,” Mayor Rama enthuses.
Just before everyone was about to leave the Mayor’s office, the Mayor added, “You take care of the people of the city of Cebu, I will not give prejudice to the judiciary, and remember that where I can be of help, look at me as a friend.” (By: Greggy Jiggs P. Senados, PIO Staff)
