19 year old Cebuano singer-songwriter John Roa visited back his hometown to promote his new mini-album called Amgo.

Amgo is a Cebuano term for realization.

Roa said that he named the mini-album in Bisaya mainly because he always remember his roots being a Cebuano where he also started as a music artist.

“I always wanted to look back to my roots, where I started as an artist,” Roa said.

Roa admitted that Amgo has a personal touch since the lyrics describes his challenges, risks, pain, struggles and blessings all through his journey in life.

Roa also said that for a person to be happy, he\she needs to appreciate the little things in life.

“Try to appreciate the little things in life and it will make life much much better,” Roa said.

Roa also called out everyone, not only musicians but every dreamer to never stop what they’re doing because the only secret to success is to never give up.

Meanwhile, Original Pilipino Music (OPM) is again, one of the most listened songs worldwide and made Roa want to write more songs in the future.
