JobStreet Goes Hyperlocal Launches Microsites and Virtual Job Fairs in VisMin

JobStreet goes hyperlocal with the launching of dedicated microsites for cities in Cebu, Iloilo, and Davao and also hosting virtual job fairs on Labor Day.

JobStreet’s hyperlocal program aims to help job seekers from the Cebu, Iloilo, and Davao area — providing a dedicated microsite that contains thousands of jobs in their locality.

The microsites can also be set in their dialect to make job seekers feel at home on the site. Job seekers will also have access to work-life guides and advice from the JobStreet career hub written in their own dialect.

“Many Filipinos recently returned to their provinces because of layoffs or the new work from home arrangements and this caused a shift in the labor market. We’ve also observed that candidates from major provinces have increased their activities in terms of platform website visits, which is why we really targeted to promote local employment and provide them valuable support in their career through their own dialect,” said JobStreet Philippines Country Manager Philip Gioca.

Along with the launching of microsites in Cebu, Ilo-Ilo, and Davao, JobStreet is also hosting a Virtual Career Fair with selected Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Regional Offices on May 1 to 3.

Over 100 companies from the Philippines will participate in the Virtual Career Fair. Job Seekers will also get the chance to experience features such as live chats, on-the-spot interviews with HR representatives, and companies’ virtual booths.

Job seekers could also join a raffle on May 1 at 5:00 PM on the official Facebook page of JobStreet.
