SYNOPSIS:
At 4:00 AM today, the center of the Tropical Depression “AMANG” was estimated based on all available data at 70 km North of Surigao City, Surigao, del Norte or 70 km East Northeast of Maasin City, Southern Leyte (10.4N, 125.4E) with maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 60 km/h. Moving West Northwest at 10 km/h. Northeast Monsoon affecting Luzon.
FORECAST:
EasternSamar, NorthernSamar, Samar, BiliranIsland, Southern Leyte, Eastern Bohol & Northern Cebu will have rains with gusty winds, while the rest of Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorm due to TD Amang. Palawan and Occidental Mindoro will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to Northeast monsoon.
Strong winds from the Northeast will prevail over the eastern section of Visayas with rough seas. Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast will prevail over the rest of Visayas, Palawan, and Occidental Mindoro with moderate to rough seas.
