It’s More Than Lechon at CNT

Published

I am from Iloilo, and everybody including myself is always looking forward for a lechon indulgence of Cebu. A lot of selection for lechon in Cebu, but most people recommend CNT lechon because it is the best tasting lechon.

As we got there, the ambiance was fine, it was in a native setting, and the place can accommodate about a maximum of 40-50 persons.

We ordered their lechon, and as we are surveying what others can we eat, we saw a signage stating “Balbacua available.” So we tried it. We took 4 orders of balbacua.

As we plunged in to our meal, the lechon was a so so, but the meal changer was the Balbacua. For those of you who still don’t know anything about Balbacua, it is made of cow’s skin, boiled to tenderness and served as a sauce based dish. The sauce is somewhat parallel to that of Kare-kare, but that of balbacua is just touched with a bit of sourness and saltiness.

CNT’s balbacua was a hit, with a dash of fresh fried garlic at the top, the taste just explodes in your mouth. Definitely a must try when you plan to stop by Cebu.

It’s more than lechon at CNT.
