ITCZ to Bring Rains to Visayas, Mindanao — PAGASA
(PNA) — The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will bring light to moderate rains to Visayas and Mindanao, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Saturday.
In its 5 a.m. weather bulletin Saturday, PAGASA said “light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms is expected over Palawan, Visayas and the rest of Mindanao.”
PAGASA also noted CARAGA and Davao will experience moderate to occasionally heavy rains that might cause flash floods and landslides.
Other areas, including Metro Manila, will also have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, PAGASA said light to moderate winds coming from the northeast to northwest will prevail over Luzon and Visayas.
For Mindanao, light to moderate winds will blow from the southwest.
PAGASA further said the coastal waters around the archipelago will be slight to moderate. (PNA) JBP/JLD
