ITCZ to Bring Rains Over Southern Mindanao Saturday
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported on Saturday that Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is now prevailing in Southern Mindanao.
In its weather forecast, PAGASA said Davao, SOCCSKSARGEN (South Cotabato, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani, General Santos), ARMM (Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao) and Zamboanga Peninsula will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country, meanwhile, will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms.
In Northern Luzon, moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail, and its coastal waters will be moderate to occasionally rough.
Elsewhere, PAGASA predicted winds will be light to moderate coming from east to northeast with slight to moderate seas.
The state weather bureau reported that no tropical cyclone is existing within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) today. (PNA) JBP/MCCA
