ITCZ to Bring Rains Over Mindanao; Fair Weather in Luzon, Visayas — PAGASA
(PNA) — Most parts of Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rains due to the presence of Inter-tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting southern Mindanao, according to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) Wednesday.
The ITCZ affecting Mindanao, which is the thick clouds coming from the south of Asia, is considered a breeding ground for low-pressure areas (LPAs) or potential cyclones.
For Wednesday forecast, PAGASA said the presence of ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms over Zamboanga Peninsula, South Cotabato, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani and General Santos City. (SOCCSKSARGEN), the provinces of Maguindanao, Davao Del Sur and Davao Occidental.
The rest of the country, including Metro Manila, will continue to experience fair weather or partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms.
It added light to moderate winds blowing from the east will prevail over Northern Luzon and coming from the northeast to east over the rest of the country.
The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate. (PNA) JBP/CLTC
