ITCZ Continues to Bring Rains over Visayas, Mindanao — PAGASA
Most parts of Visayas and Mindanao on Tuesday will continue to experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rains due to the presence of Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), according to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
The ITCZ affecting Mindanao, which is the thick clouds coming from the south of Asia, is considered a breeding ground for low-pressure areas (LPAs) or potential cyclones.
For Tuesday forecast, PAGASA said the presence of ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms over Mindanao, Palawan and Western and Central Visayas.
Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening will prevail over the rest of the country.
Light to moderate winds blowing from the east to southeast will prevail over Luzon and coming from the southwest to southeast over Visayas and Mindanao. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate.
